Money & Finances
A category that no checklist should be without – whether you’re packing for summer or winter vacation. A travel credit card that allows you to withdraw money worldwide for free is highly recommended. Also, make sure you always have some cash on you.
It’s best to split your money between two different wallets. The second wallet can be kept in the hotel safe. If you go swimming at the beach, small cash stashes are very handy. You should pack the following things:
Clothes
For summer vacation it is best to pack light clothes. However, for cooler evenings, be sure to pack a warm sweater or jacket. In some countries (e.g. Arab countries) you are only allowed to visit public and religious buildings if your arms, shoulders and legs are covered.
Sometimes a headscarf is also necessary. In this case, pack a long scarf that you can wrap around your neck if necessary. If you are planning an outdoor vacation, think about breathable, wind- and waterproof clothing. Especially for mountain tours, the onion look has proven itself.
Toiletries
With sun exposure and temperatures around 40 degrees, our skin gets quite stressed. Especially on summer vacation, sunscreen and a good moisturizer are indispensable. Take your toiletries in travel size to save space. Also remember the liquids regulations in your hand luggage!
Important documents
The following things, of course, you need for any vacation – whether it is a summer or skiing vacation. Airline tickets, passport, health insurance card and a concluded foreign health insurance must not be forgotten under any circumstances. Depending on your life situation (e.g. student or professional) and the destination, the checklist may vary slightly.
